Munich Brauhaus, Bavarian Bier Café and The Bavarian unveiled Australia’s first Oktoberfest street parades last Saturday ahead of six weeks of celebrations!
Throughout the six-week celebrations Feasting Menus are available at all Rockpool Dining Group’s Bavarian restaurants across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for group bookings of 20+ guests, or smaller groups can choose authentic Bavarian a la carte favourites, including crispy pork knuckle, golden crumbed schnitzels, roast pork belly and traditional sausages.
All Bavarian restaurants will serve the four Oktoberfest biers throughout the festival: Löwenbräu Oktoberfestbier, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier, Paulaner Oktoberfestbier and Spaten Oktoberfestbier.
Every Sunday throughout Oktoberfest is for the kids, with activity packs and a free meal for children under 12 available with every full-paying adult meal at all Bavarian restaurants. Free face painting is also available at Munich Brauhaus Melbourne and Sydney, Bavarian Bier Cafés at Broadbeach, Entertainment Quarter, Miranda and Parramatta, and The Bavarians at Penrith and Westfield Chermside.
Throughout the festivities customers have the chance to become an official Oktober-Boss by proving their dedication to all things Oktoberfest and completing a number of challenges, including drinking a schnapps, a stein of each of the four Oktoberfest biers, eating a schnitzel, a pork knuckle and a pretzel. Those who achieve the ultimate Oktober-Boss status will receive prizes, including exclusive invitations to the Oktoberfest closing party.
Oktoberfest BBQ & Brews sessions will be held at the Chatswood, Entertainment Quarter, Manly, Miranda, Parramatta and Penrith restaurants from midday on Sunday, 1 October with prizes for the best Oktoberfest costumes.
German passport holders are eligible for a free bier upgrade (from a 300ml to a 500ml bier) during the six-week Oktoberfest celebrations (German photo identification is required).
